Description of the different functionalities and their impact on the other windows/menus of Metis.
+
In order for the administrator to adapt the content of the application to the use in the organization, he can define both lists and list types to be used in Metis Smart Suite. Those lists can then be linked to specific windows in Metis Smart Quotes for example, thus displaying the content of the list to the end-user. For example, tzhe administrator can define a list "invoicing terms" to be selected by the Metis Smart Quotes user when creating an offer. List Types can also be added, filled and linked to other parts of the application in the same way with the use of the '''Customizing''' sub-menu found in the '''Data Management''' menu.. Pleae refer to the following section for details on linking the list in part of the Metis Smart Suite.
 +

 +
The "List" sub-menu window is split up into two tables, each having the same four action buttons, add, delete, edit, and preview. List types are used to oragnize lists into more specific categories, while list elements are used just as the contents of the list type. When linked, list types show up as the title for a dropdown list, while the list elements show up as the entries found in the dropdown list.

'''List Types'''
 +

 +
Located on the left-hand side of the screen, the list types table contains all the list types that are available for the version logged-in to. List types are organized by name under the designation field. List types with a white lock icon before them indicate that they are part of a list of Metis Smart Suite default list types, they cannot be edited or deleted. List types which are visible to child versions are denoted by a globe icon with a green downwards arrow, while list types that are not visible to child versions have a regular globe icon.
 +

 +
List types contain lists. Once a list type has been created, lists can then be created and added to the list type by selecting the desired list type and using the add button above the list table.
 +

 +

 +
'''List Elements'''
 +

 +
The lists elements table is organized into the four following columns:
 +

 +
* '''Designation''' : Name of the list element in all available languages
 +
* '''Code''' : short name or code which can be added to the list element description. The filed is limited to a maximum of 10 characters.
 +
* '''Quantity''' : value which can be added to the list element in order to be used by the application. The field is limited to a maximum value of 9,999
 +
* '''Default''' : the current list element will be set as default and pre-selected in the list when used.
 +
* '''Old''' : mark a list element as "old" in order for it not to be displayed in the list anymore, but be still available for old offer where it was used.
 +

 +

 +
List elements with a lock icon in front of them represent lists that were created in another version.
