=== Segment Price ===
+
=== Exchange Rate ===
-
The Segment Price tab contains a table with a list of segments for which the Smart Quotes user can define a discount and a margin, as shown in the following example:
+
This option allows the Metis Smart Quotes user to change the exchange rates that were defined by the administrator, as shown in the following example:
-
[Screenshot of the Setup menu / Segment Price tab]
+
[[File:MetisSmartQuotesExchangeRateTab.png|center|800x700px]]
-
The settings that a Smart Quotes user define in the Segment Price tab are strictly applicable to him/herself only. Therefore, when two or more different users are working on the same offer, they may have different prices and totals due to differing definitions of discount and margin percentages.

-
These settings have no influence on blocked or ordered offers.
+
A table shows the currencies and the exchange rates that were made available by the administrator. The Smart Quotes user can edit all the exchange rate values, except for the same currency (e.g. 1 EUR = 1.000000 EUR).
-
The first column displays the name of the segment.
+
Values appearing in black correspond to the default values. The values edited by the Smart Quotes user appears in blue. If the Smart Quotes user edits the exchange rate value from one currency to another (e.g. from EUR to USD), the reverse exchange rate (e.g. from USD to EUR) is automatically calculated and displayed in grey.
-
The second column contains the discount percentage. The Smart Quotes user can type in a negative or a positive discount. The value defined in this column has an influence on the purchase price of the positions linked to a specific segment.
+
The values shown in this table are then applied to the offers opened by the Smart Quotes user. This means that two different users can see different prices if one of the user has chosen to apply exchange rates different from those defined by the administrator.
-
The third column contains the margin percentage. The Smart Quotes user can type in a negative or a positive margin. The value defined in this column has an influence on the selling price of the positions linked to a specific segment.

-
{{Warning
+
{{Note
-
| If the user does not define a discount but defines a margin, the sales price will be higher than the one originally indicated by the administrator.
+
| If the administrator changes an exchange rate value, all the changes made locally by the Smart Quotes user remains. It is up to the Smart Quotes user to keep the exchange rates up-to-date. However, the exchange rates from the administrator (in black) are updated if changes were made by the administrator.
